Ride Category: Loop

Ride Type Ratio: 25% gravel road, 75% single track

Ride Distance: 28 miles and 3300' of field measured elevation gain

Ride Time: 4 - 6 hours

Trailhead Directions: Take exit 95 off I-5. Follow Littlerock Road for a
few miles to the Waddell Creek Road intersection, turn right. Continue to the
next intersection with Sherman Valley Rd, this is "The Y".

Route Description: From 'The Y" follow Sherman Valley Road to C-Line
on the left, climb C-Line up to C-7000 on the right, climb up C-7000 to the
intersection with C-4000 and take a hard right through the yellow gate up to
the Capitol Peak towers, 2659'. Head towards the east towers and follow the
steep and technical rock section a couple hundred yards down to the trail
intersection and turn left. Follow trail to C-4000 intersection and turn right, go
to the first trail intersection and turn left (maybe Trail #50?, not marked).
Follow trail to the first road intersection with B-8500 and turn right, go down
to the next rail intersection with North Rim #1 and turn left, you will come to
another intersection very soon, stay right. Follow North Rim #1 down to
Middle Waddell Loop trail intersection and continue straight and follow it
back to Sherman Valley road, turn left, your car is 50 yards down.

Ride Summary:  This ride is a bit of a monster. The trails have very good
flow, but are broken up by woop-dee-doos from the moto traffic, very fun
and also fairly tiring. The berms down  North Rim are sweet. Middle Waddell
is a classic Capitol Forest "traversing descent". The view are incredible on this
ride, from The Peak and also from B-8500. The North Rim #1 section is not
recommended in the winter. Watch out for trail tacos.
