Ride Category: Loop
Ride Type Ratio: 100% singletrack
Ride Distance: 4.75 miles
Ride Time: .5 to 1.5 hours
Trailhead Directions: Take exit 95 off I-5. Follow Littlerock Road for a
few miles to the Mima Road intersection, turn left. Drive another mile or so,
turn right on Bordeaux Rd, drive another mile or so and turn right on
Marksman Rd. Go about a mile and park at Mima Falls Trailhead.
Route Description: Leave out of Mima Falls Trailhead on the trail out of the
back of the campground, at the first trail intersection turn right onto Greenline
#6, at the next intersection turn left, at the next "T" intersection continue
straight, at the next intersection turn left onto Trail #10, at the next intersection
turn left onto Mima Porter #8 and head back to Mima Falls Trail head.
Ride Summary: This is a great little ride. When the singletrack is in shape, the
descent down #10 is world class. Short but sweet. The only problem with
this ride is that it is seasonal, usually only in good shape mid summer
to fall. This area of the forest has drainage "problems". Mudfest. For an
added "scenic viewpoint", turn right at the bottom of #10 onto Mima Porter
#8 and go check out Mima Falls, about another .5 miles there and back.
This ride can be ridden in either direction. Clockwise will net you the most
sustained fall line descent, and counter clockwise will benefit you with a
handful of the pumpiest and bermiest super flow corners in the forest.
